Groundhog day

I love groundhogs or "groundies" as I like to call them.  I never saw them until I moved to New York and I get so excited when I see them :)

Well, word on the street is we will have 6 more weeks of winter.  I can only hope that it's 6 weeks of the mild winter we have been having (fingers crossed)

I'm taking a Pilates class at school because it counts as a wellness elective.  It is such an awesome core workout!

I posted a new youtube video today about my braces.
I've been "braced" for about a month now and today I got new wires, colored ligatures, a band around a molar, a spring to keep space for a future implant, new placement for elastics, and 2 brackets replaced...WHEW that was a lot!

These are so good & easy to make!  I found this recipe thanks to pinterest.

Ingredients
1 cup oatmeal
1/2 cup peanut butter (or other nut butter)
1/3 cup honey
1 cup coconut flakes
1/2 cup ground flaxseed
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1 tsp vanilla

Mix everything above in a medium bowl until thoroughly incorporated. Let chill in the refrigerator for half an hour. Once chilled, roll into balls and enjoy! Store in an airtight container and keep refrigerated for up to 1 week.

For my batch I used white chocolate wonderful peanut butter by Peanut Butter & Co. SOOOOOO tasty!!

The chocolate chips were a little hard for me to eat because of my new braces and all. Of course, you could sub something else in like nuts, raisins, cranberries, etc.

This makes a great mid-afternoon snack & my hubby loves them :) It's a great treat to send with him to work.

Wedding Pics Slideshow & DIY Projects In Action

This was my first attempt at a slideshow.  I put "blurbs" in about the DIY projects but they disapear pretty quick (oops)  but you can always pause or rewind it.

I must say that many guests noticed the personal touches & projects that I spend so much time on.  I've seen people on wedding message boards asking if DIY projects are worth it.  I believe they are because it makes the wedding "you" because of the effort you put into it.  Before I did any of my projects I researched how much it was to make the item vs buying it because I didn't want to waste money. In my opinion, it's a great way to personalize your special day :)
